Just got back from a vacation to Pigeon Forge for Thanksgiving with my fiancee and family. It was super tiring, but also fun. The cabin rental was fantastic, although a little small. And sometimes when you spend too much time too close to your family things can get a little…. heated.

Nevertheless, I am thankful for my wonderful Bride and my family. I was happy to be able to share some of my own family traditions with Courthead, even if travel isn’t one of them. Everything from making sure we’re up for Macy’s Parade to late Thanksgiving lunch and down to Irving Berlin’s White Christmas to usher in the rest of the holidays. All the things that I want to prep my future family for and integrate into great memories of the holidays.

PS From Kody : At this point I am sure many of you people are tired of reading stats and hearing about the why’s and how’s of Obama’s victory. But after seeing this infographic it paints a clearer picture of how Obama actually did win. Also, I am not at all surprised to see how much red is in my area and how much blue is North. What I am surprised about is how much purple there is everywhere.

Really excited about this upcoming story arch from DC, H’el on Earth. I haven’t been the biggest fan of the New 52 Superman series but I do really like both Scott Lobdell and Kenneth Rocafort. Especially Rocafort. His art makes my face happy. So the combination of my favorite Red Hood and The Outlaws creative team on what looks to be an amazing arch is an insta-buy. Trying to catch up on my reading to get to this.

Been playing a lot of Minecraft on mine and Courtney’s private server, Purple Earth, as of late and having a lot of fun doing so. Big projects on my list include building a paint-ball arena and also finishing up an underground jungle, Tigerbow Den, that I’ve brought all the way down to bedrock. Along with that though, Courthead’s cat died today. The cat I went and got her. Not a real cat, just a Minecraft cat, LOL. So we made her a memorial.

Also, I made myself a new skin. No Barney head this time!

Needless to say, I am stoked like a winter fire to see this...

Man, it has been a rough past month. I know that I shouldn’t let some things get to me but when you have a torrential downfall of failures and oversights and closure too soon in your life sometimes it’s hard to look past it all. And still somewhere deep down I know life isn’t that bad. Nothing can be as terrible as it can be.

And with that in mind I want to keep at the forefront of how good life actually is. Count my blessings, so to speak. Please note, this post is a for me post. Not for anyone else but me.

I have a wonderful fiancee. Even if she lives three hours away from me.
My health is fantastic even though I am a health risk because I sit for more than three hours a day!
Borderlands 2 just came out. That’s fun. Too bad I have to work.
I still have quite a few friends who care about me. Some people have fewer than three. Not me! Nuh-uh.
My faith is stronger than it has been in a longggg while.
Business is pretty successful if not a little overwhelming sometimes.
I found out that 30 Rock is a pretty great show. New show to get addicted to. Great!
Fruity Pebbles Marshmallows are no longer just a limited edition cereal. Although, I do prefer the limited edition kind because they didn’t turn my milk poopy blue.

I’m dealing with some small depression though. It’s just a time to feel lonely, and as fall kicks in a little harder I think that it’s only going to get worse. Uninspired, apathetic, passive-depressive [I feel that I’ve coined this]. Things could be worse. I could be Nicholas Cage or Rebecca Black, or that one Invisible Children public-masturbating dude.
